Katy and Davids Beautiful Kilver Court Wedding
It was a stunning day as we both arrived at Kilver Court in Somerset for the Wedding of Katy and David.
The heatwave of the summer was over but we still had beautiful blue skies and sunshine forecast for the day which was good as Katy and David’s ceremony was outdoors, in the stunning grounds of Kilver Court.
The main building at Kilver Court was originally a lace-making factory and the owner Ernest Jardine created the gardens as a recreational space for his employees. It is such a stunning space and I will definitely be back for a visit in the near future.
The couples guests were seated on an area just outside the Dove Cot overlooking the mill ponds and stone railway bridge. Due to British Law weddings vows have to be made in a licensed venue, which usually means it has to be within a permanent structure, so whilst the exchanging of rings could be down outside the couple had to pop inside the Dove Cot to say their wedding vows. It was a very personal part of the service with just the couple and the registrars in attendance.
The reception rooms and the grounds at Kilver Court are extensive and we had no shortage of places to photograph the couple, please take a look through the photographs below, and if you are looking for a venue that’s just a little different then Kilver Court is the venue for you.
