Caitlin and Richards Gorgeous Glen Yr Afon Hotel Wedding
On a beautiful summers day at the very end of July we photographed the wedding of Caitlin and Richard.
Caitlin got ready at her parents home just down the road from the family’s church in Lanfrechfa where they were getting married, and Richard and his grooms party got ready at the couples home just outside Raglan.
There were a few teething problems at Caities house where it was realised that a couple of the button loops on her dress had started to unravel but thankfully her bridesmaids, all close friends from University, were adept in sewing and managed to fashion and stitch on replacement loops to the dress. Crisis averted 🙂
Richard was driven to the church in the Rolls Royce wedding car, and at the bottom of the lane leading to the church was the local pub, not surprisingly all the groomsmen got dropped off there for a quick pint before heading up to the church.
Caitie had a full length Spanish style lace veil which was draped by her bridesmaid sister, so it flowed beautifully as she walked down the aisle on her fathers arm to meet her groom.
The ceremony was a beautiful, personal service and when the couple went to sign the register they were serenaded by the church choir who sung the “Vicar of Dibley” version of Psalm 23 The Lord Is My Shepherd.
The church was on a gorgeous leafy lane which was just perfect for the confetti shot and then it was time for the couple to leave for their reception at the lovely Glen Yr Afon Hotel in Usk. The grounds at the Glen yr Afon are extensive and along with their beautiful outside spiral staircase we were spoilt for choice for the couples photographs.
Here are a selection of images from the couples day.
